Ash Canyon - May 30, 2025

There didn't seem to be as many birds at the sanctuary today, probably because of earlier sunrise.  I suspect that a lot of birds had already come and gone by the time I arrived.  Those that were present seemed able to stay in the shadows, making it a challenge to get good photos.  Other people must have been warned as I was almost alone, except for one young man from Ecuador getting ready to lead a tour group from his country next week.  He was sporting impressive gear, some $20,000 worth, plus what was hidden in his back pack. In my next life, I think I'll start birding at a younger age.
