Ash Canyon - July 2 & 6, 2024
With so few species around these days, I've had to combine two different days to make a complete blog entry. Naturally, some birds appeared both days, but I eliminated a few of the duplicates. I did keep a few of my favorites.

I wanted to go out Saturday morning, but didn't make it. So, I waited until 5 pm, then drove to Ash Canyon. It was 97F when I left home, 95F when I arrived at the canyon. Despite the temperature, it was surprisingly pleasant under the shade trees with a lovely breeze. I expected my normal locations to be problematic due to the afternoon sun, so I tried a few different spots. The result was I saw mostly hummingbirds.
