Sierra Vista & Ash Canyon - June 6-9, 2024

My Palo Verde tree is still attracting birds to my back yard, but they have nearly completed stripping all the blooms.  The ground is littered with yellow blooms.  Watching the acrobatic Gila Woodpecker on the hummingbird feeder was a lot of fun.

Almost no one at the sanctuary today, but I enjoyed the solitude.  I kept hoping the Montezuma Quail would show, or that more hummingbird species might appear.  None of that was to be, so I had a good time with the regulars, plus a few recent migrators.
