Ash Canyon, AZ - June 4, 2024
Another nice day in the canyon, with a good selection of birds. There was a sign alerting everyone that Montezuma Quail had been coming two or three times each day, and that visitors should sit still and be quiet because the quail are very wary of noise and movement. Shortly after I arrived, a group of four people came in and constantly moved around, talking and laughing. Of course, that eliminated any chance of quails showing up. So, I'll share some Montezuma Quail photos from last year. They are very special birds.
Now for current photos.
