Hereford, Ash Canyon - December 11 & 12, 2023

I learned of a residential home in Hereford whose owner feeds the birds, attracting a variety of species that includes Gambel's Quail and sometimes Scaled Quail.  Since I've never seen the Scaled Quail, I had to pay this place a visit.  While there, I witnessed a nice sunrise and early light on the mountains.  There were lots of Gambel's Quail and Mourning Doves, a few Sparrows and Finches, plus a group of Chihuahuan Meadowlarks, but no Scaled Quail.  I'll have to keep trying.

The next day, I spent the morning at Ash Canyon, but didn't see anything special.  These are photos of the usual suspects.
