This was a fun day at the preserve. Several hawks were perched alongside the road into the canyon and another flew into the tree right above me as soon as I got out of the car.

A Painted Redstart (lifer) swooped down onto a hummingbird feeder and entertained the crowd with his acrobatics.
Of course, there were the usual hummingbirds.

A Townsend's Warbler (lifer) played in a juniper tree, making it
impossible to get good photos. Oh well, a bad photo may be better than
none at all.

Leaving the canyon, I encountered four Greater Roadrunners, a Spiny Lizard and three Gambel's Quail posing nicely.
