Ash Canyon - April 24, 2026 & Sierra Vista - April 26, 2026

The last photo in this post may be disturbing to some viewers, as it shows a male House Finch infected with what appears to be an Avian Pox.  This viral infection is sometimes transmitted by mosquitoes, but also by contact at feeders.  The finches are especially susceptible.  A bird might recover if the growth, much like a wart, doesn't affect its ability to eat.  Corrective action requires removal of contaminated feeders and disinfecting them.
