Ash Canyon - September 23, 2024
Wow, two lifers in one day! The Zone-tailed Hawk never came close enough for really good photos, and the Warbling Vireo stayed among the branches during its very brief appearance. Still, I was please to have the opportunities they gave me. I had never even heard of that Vireo species and didn't know what I had until looking it up on the internet. Also, while Hummingbird numbers have decreased noticeably, there were still plenty of photo-ops to be had.
