We're still waiting for spring migrants to arrive. In the meantime, I've pulled the motor home out of storage in order to make a short trip to the quaint and historic town of Tubac, AZ. Tubac is on the Santa Cruz River, which is the flight path for many raptors returning north after a winter vacation in Mexico and Central America. Reports are their migration has started and will continue for several weeks. In addition to Ravens and Vultures, that I don't need to see, there should be Black Hawks, Gray Hawks and Zone-tailed Hawks, and possibly others. Golden Eagles sometimes join the migration. While there, I'll visit other nearby birding hotspots.
Incidentally, the Bewick's Wren below is called Hopalong, since it has only one leg. Despite that handicap, Hopalong seems to get by just fine, hopping around as well as the other birds.
