Ash Canyon - February 14, 2024
The situation had not changed much since my previous visit. The regular birds were there in large numbers, but we're still waiting for some of the spring arrivals. You'll notice a male House Finch with yellow coloration where it would normally be red. I learned that it's related to diet, and the more of a certain kind of nutrient the bird eats, the redder his head and breast will be.
