 The high point for me today was the return of the Scott's Oriole.  While it may have been around recently, it was the first time for me seeing one since late summer.  Once again, I've combined two days of activity at my favorite bird sanctuary.  This time of year is limited to those birds that stay here year-round, so I'm looking forward to the Spring migration when we can expect a greater variety.  I've combined two visits to Ash Canyon because both days had very similar selections of birds.  On both days, the water feature seemed to be attracting more birds than normal, with several going in for a bath.   Common Ground Dove Canyon Towhee Chipping Sparrow Curve-billed Thrasher Spotted Towhee (M) Pyrrhuloxia (M) White-crowned Sparrow Mexican Jay Yellow-rumped Warbler Anna's (M) Acorn Woodpecker (M) White-winged Dove
